The MSC Call on Washington is the premier advocacy event for movers and suppliers committed to shaping the future of the industry. Each year, MSC members travel to Washington, DC to engage directly with policymakers, championing key priorities such as military moving reforms, stronger enforcement against bad actors, protections for the independent contractor model, and updates to long-standing consumer rules.

This year, movers will meet directly with lawmakers to advocate for meaningful action on issues impacting the industry, including:

• Consumer protection standards in the BUILD America 250 Act – helping ensure consumers are protected while preserving a fair and workable environment for reputable movers.
• Limits on institutional investor housing in the 21st Century Road to Housing Act – addressing housing market pressures that continue to impact mobility and affordability for American families.
• Lawsuit abuse, tort reform, and cargo theft – pushing for stronger protections against fraudulent claims, rising litigation costs, and increasing cargo crime affecting transportation businesses nationwide.
• Military moving oversight and accountability – continuing to advocate for reliable relocation services and stronger transparency within military moving programs.
• Moving expense deductions and tax policy – supporting policies that make relocation more affordable and encourage workforce mobility.
